It’s time to see how much I spent in one day in Laos. I have to say, Laos is really cheap! Especially the activities are incredibly cheap, and the local food is also affordable. I spent a little bit more on that day because I had a private Hotel room. This has two reasons. First of all, I needed some privacy, and I found that the Hostels in Laos are just not as good as in the rest of SEA, so I decided myself for a private room and paid a lot more than for a Hostel room.
In Chiang Mai, I went on a day tour to the Elephants at an Elephant sanctuary. We could feed them, give them medicine and after that, we could bath one of the elephants. I was a fantastic experience, and I can only recommend you do it too. Just pay attention that you don’t ride an elephant, please make sure before the booking if there is no riding included.
In my new Video, I’m going to show you how much I spent in one day in Thailand. The day was a little bit more expensive than the other days in Bangkok because of the entrance fee for the Temple. In general is Thailand very cheap, especially food is very reasonable.
Cambodia is expensive – yes it may be located in southeast Asia, but it is the most expensive country I visited until now. Why? What I heard is that the Chinese invest so much in this country located next to Vietnam and Thailand, so the prices rise steadily. Another reason might be that everything is paid in USD and often a coke or a beer cost 1 USD while it may cost 60 cents in Vietnam. These costs add up quickly. This day was indeed still a cheat day; there were some days I spent over 70 euros. Just an example is Angkor Wat – the entrance price is 37 USD, and you need either a tuk-tuk or a bicycle for which you also have to pay – it was the most expensive attraction in 3 months traveling.
I spent 2 days on Koh Rong and 2 more days in Koh Rong Sanloem,…
I had only one day in Kampot and decided to sleep in the Arcadia Hostel,…
This day was so much fun! I rented a bicycle and drove to the Duck Stop, and the Farm Stay in Phong Nha and had an amazing day. For 150.000 VND (5,6 Euro) I could feed the ducks, ride a Buffalo and got food at the end. I definitely had the most fun in the duck cage. They ate from my hands, from my feet, I was the “duck leader,” and I let fly a duck into the water. To end the day, I went to see the sunset at the Farmstay with a good beer and fresh fruits.
The 4-day motorbike trip through the north of Vietnam was such an amazing experience. We had a semi-automatic bike and drove 400 km in 4 days to make a loop and arrive again in Ha Giang. On the third day, we did the most dangerous road in Vietnam. A path only 70 cm wide and on the side, it went down for 400 meters. So basically one wrong move would cost you your life. My body was full of adrenaline, but I’m happy that I did it because it was such an amazing adventure and everything went well.
A day in Hongkong and then partying Halloween there was amazing. We bargained to get cheap souvenirs and had a nice party. Mr. Wong’s was definitely the highlight, but also the party in the club was good.
In Macau, I was doing the first time couch surfing, and I had a really good time. The Hotels are so expensive, and everything is expensive in this country. However, I managed it to stay in my budget and to have a great time at the same time.
