I spent a total of 4 nights in Hoi An to visit the city and the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, the weather was not the best because there was a typhoon in the south part of Vietnam. However, I had some fantastic days and here are the things you can and should do in Hoi An.
This day was so much fun! I rented a bicycle and drove to the Duck Stop, and the Farm Stay in Phong Nha and had an amazing day. For 150.000 VND (5,6 Euro) I could feed the ducks, ride a Buffalo and got food at the end. I definitely had the most fun in the duck cage. They ate from my hands, from my feet, I was the “duck leader,” and I let fly a duck into the water. To end the day, I went to see the sunset at the Farmstay with a good beer and fresh fruits.
Phong Nha? Where is that? And what can I do there? That’s probably the questions you ask yourself right now. Everyone has heard from Ninh Binh, and you can read about it in every other blog but Phong Nha is nearly undiscovered, and that’s one of the reasons why it’s so amazing.
This Video is a bit different, I was just amazed at how great the streets in Ha Giang on the loop are that I created a video with the best driving scenes. In the four days we did one mountain pass after the other, hill up hill down – amazing views and one 180 degrees curve after the other. It was so much fun to ride the streets even if they were sometimes in terrible conditions.
The 4-day motorbike trip through the north of Vietnam was such an amazing experience. We had a semi-automatic bike and drove 400 km in 4 days to make a loop and arrive again in Ha Giang. On the third day, we did the most dangerous road in Vietnam. A path only 70 cm wide and on the side, it went down for 400 meters. So basically one wrong move would cost you your life. My body was full of adrenaline, but I’m happy that I did it because it was such an amazing adventure and everything went well.
Is it dangerous? Yes! Is there any comfort? No, not really. Would I do it again? Oh hell, yes!!
The best trip I had so far in my life was definitely the Ha Giang extreme Loop in north Vietnam. It was 4 days full of fun, adventure, nature, food and adrenaline. Friendships were formed, and limits got tested. I didn’t know..
I spent a total of 4 nights in Hanoi and had some great experiences, the bad experiences only came when I left, but more on that in a second…
The Island Cat Ba, where I stayed for a few days is the perfect place to start a boat tour to Halong Bay. I went with the company “Cat Ba Ventures” which was the right choice. After swimming, we had lunch on the boat, went kayaking and swimming again. To finish the day we watched the sunset from the boat while driving back to Cat Ba. Here is the Video from the day tour.
Renting a motorbike and discovering the Island of Cat Ba in Vietnam is definitely a must do. In general, the first choice in Vietnam is a motorcycle to go around the city or in my case on the island. It costs around 50.000 to 100.000 VND (1,75 – 3,50 Euro) to rent a bike for one day and..
I left China a few days ago and had time to think about my time I spend there. Here are my top 5 reasons why you should jump into the next plane and visit this enormous country.
