After 18 months, my travels came to an end. It wasn’t meant to be that early, but the Corona crisis came into my way. However, I can’t complain; I had the time of my life! This is a collection of the best moments, and there were enough of them!
I’m already nearly 6 months on the road – yeah, it’s crazy how the time flies. A lot of things changed, my plans changed at least 50 times, my destinations changed, and I changed myself a lot. What actually didn’t change much is my packing list. There are only a few minimal changes, and they have different reasons. In here you can find my original blog entry.
Tomorrow, I’ll begin the biggest adventure of my life yet. My bag is ready, and everything is prepared. I’m overly excited and just happy that I’ll start tomorrow. So many preparations have come to an end, now it’s time to start.
When it comes to my packing list, it’s maybe the thing which I thought most about it. I’m going on a trip around the world, and I want to carry only one big bag with me, how should that work? In my previous life, I had several cabinets full of clothes. I had so my, and now I should switch to only one bag?
The past three years has been fantastic, and they will stay in my mind forever that’s for sure. But now it is time to say goodbye. On Tuesday I’ll leave Düsseldorf and Germany, and I’ll formally move back to Luxemburg.

I’m glad to live in Europe where the borders are open, and I can cross them without any special requirements. I’m just used to this freedom and in fact, I couldn’t imagine something else…
What I know for sure, is that I´ll give up my entire life in Germany, and formally move back to Luxemburg. In fact, I won´t have a classical home at all, for at least an entire year. The world will be my new home!
After the decisive questions were answered, and my first flight was booked – from Frankfurt to Beijing, with a stop in Moscow on the 1st October 2018 – I was overly excited about my plans and couldn’t stop thinking about them. But how should I start planning such a long travel?
