What to do in Bangkok? The #22 of things to do in Bangkok is to have a walk in the Lumphini Park.
One thing that is missing in Bangkok, or any city in Southeast Asia, is green spaces. Bangkok is probably the extreme case of that. In the three weeks I’m already living here I haven’t been to one park or any green space without all the chaos. Now, Lumphini Park gives you all of this, a place to relax, green everywhere and it seems like you are far away from all the chaos and the pollution.
Being in the park, you get the impression as the buildings would enclose the park, and there is always a glimpse to a skyline behind the trees. In the park, you can watch people running, doing sport or just chilling on the benches. The park is also filled with small lakes and rivers. A big road goes once around the park, and there are a lot of little ways going all ways through the park.
It’s the perfect place to come down a little from all the chaos in this city and escape into a more peaceful world.
